McKeever Armagh GAA Commemorative 100 Year Anniversary Kids Jersey
Armagh did not always wear orange.
In the early years, the county lined out in black and amber, like the jerseys of Crossmaglen. Everything changed in 1926.
That year, Armagh won the Junior Football Championship, becoming the first Ulster county to claim a national football crown. The jerseys they wore were knitted by the Nuns of Omeath, using the only wool they had enough of: Orange.
The colour stuck.
